Description
A few years ago I was driving home along Cherryvale road when I noticed how the trees in front of my favorite old farmhouse seemed to embrace the quaint building. I should paint that someday. That day came in the wake of the Marshall, Colorado fire. I believe these loving trees kept this little house from destruction when almost everything nearby ignited in flames.

I see the heart in your trees. There is one near the front roof point and the trees over all make a heart shape. The background colors are stunning and push the home forward . Just Lovely!

I love the somber winter mood of this stunning painting, Anne. Your description of how the trees protected or sort of stood guard over the old home moved me so and this feeling animates your art in such a powerful way.
Anne Gifford replied:
I thank you, Harriet, for your insightful comment. The Marshall fire was in your community as well, and i am pleased that my painting spoke to you.
