Description
I was on a backpacking trip when I came across this field of flowers along the trail. It was a wet year in Colorado, and everything was green, green, GREEN. We were on the Fourth of July trail, and it was the Fourth of July weekend! Mount Neva can be see in the background.

There are so many things I miss about Colorado. I lived in the Golden area for many years before moving to California. This is gorgeous and inviting.
Anne Gifford replied:
I am glad that I can share Colorado from afar, Bunny. Thank you for commenting.

Gorgeous, inviting trail, Anne - beautiful watercolor technique and composition - fav!
Anne Gifford replied:
This is just how it looked! I can't really take credit for the composition. God laid it all out for me just as it should be painted!

Beautiful and I love the title, too!
Anne Gifford replied:
Thank you Danny~ Actually, when I took the photo that I used for inspiration, it was the Fourth of July weekend.

This is so breath taking! Because of the composition and perspective, the viewer is transported to this lovely trail with its flowers and mountain views. So beautifully done, Anne!

That’s funny…autocorrect! That was supposed to be “your watercolor landscapes are in a league of their own.”

Such an inviting, hopeful, and peaceful scene, Anne! Your watercolor landscapes are in a glue of their own. You’re amazing. L/F
