Description

It was supposed to be a spring day when I drove by the Colorado country road that leads to Marshall. Springtime in the Rockies! Look at that frost on the trees. Magical. I drove on by. Waitaminute. MAGICAL! I did a quick U turn and went back for a photograph. I'm glad I did. The painting saves for posterity the way Marshall looked before the fire blazed through these trees and this field on its way east. I've learned to never take the familiarity of the beauty around me for granted.
