Description
This painting, done at the Harney Lakosta Boulder County Open Space property here in Colorado, was done plein aire. The summer mornings were a bit cooler and the lighting best at that time of day,so for several days I went to the farm at 7 a.m. and painted until the heat became unbearable by around 11. Can you feel the heat? Horses nuzzled me and roosters crowed constantly while I worked....it was like stepping back in time.

Anne, this is a masterpiece of design, composition, color, light and detail. Absolutely amazing and yes, it took me back in time also when I was a boy growing up on a farm and bailing hay and straw. Thanks, as always, by sharing your talent and your heart!
