Description
When I saw the full "blood moon" in the Colorado night sky in September 2015, an image that I knew I would never forget was etched into my mind. At last, after a potentially disappointing, cloud covered start to the phenomenon, the moon emerged from the clouds to create the most eerily impressive lighting on the mountain landscape surrounding me that I had ever seen. Of course, I had to paint it!
