Product Details

Winter Wonderland metal print by Anne Gifford.   Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description

I was inspired to paint this crisp winter scene of the Mount Sanitas trail in Boulder, Colorado when one of my talented students, Paula Osborn, kindly shared her photograph with both me and my entire watercolor class. I was captivated by the blue shadows cast on the trail by the yucca plants,and the lighting on the receding mountains. I peppered some reds around in the mid ground trees for fun, and added the parent and child walking with their dog in the distance.

Anne Gifford

Anne Gifford is an award winning artist and the eight time poster artist for Colorado's Bolder Boulder 10K Memorial Day Race, one of the largest road races in the United States. She began her career as a silkscreen artist, and now works with watercolor, building successive layers of color to create her vibrant, rich, and detailed paintings. She has lived in Colorado since 1976 and finds inspiration in the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains. On her many walks and hikes throughout the area, she is always on the lookout for new imagery. She relishes the depiction of a magic moment and the evidence she finds of the pulse of life, both past and present.
