Well, Spike is back in the saddle in his search for a happy home. Sadly, he was unable to fly to the magpies' nest, so he continues his sojourn and now finds himself in the forest. Perhaps Mama bear will offer him residence in the home she shares with her little cub.

Go with this �different� fellow as he searches for a welcoming home among birds, fish, bears, turtles, prairie dogs, barn cats and pigs. Follow him as he goes cheerfully through the countryside on his quest to find a home where he will be accepted for who he is. Bright imaginative illustrations by watercolor artist Anne Gifford, with story by Priscilla Gifford.
Anne Gifford is an award winning artist and the eight time poster artist for Colorado's Bolder Boulder 10K Memorial Day Race, one of the largest road races in the United States. She began her career as a silkscreen artist. After 25 years of printmaking, Anne now works with watercolor, building successive layers of color to create her vibrant, rich, and detailed paintings. She has lived in Colorado since 1976 and finds inspiration in the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Her paintings, like a pictorial journal, have chronicled her journey thus far.
