I had fun painting this picture of a closeup of some peas in their pods. The texture was achieved by sprinkling salt into the paint when it was very wet.

First of all, these watercolors of yours are fantastic! To tell the truth, I've never one to paint things like peas in a pod, but when I look at this painting, I am astounded by the rich color, the spectrum of black to white, and the lines. Wow! Who knew a little salt could go so far? These greens include blues, and purples, and pinks...Wonderful!
