OLD MARSHALL
Here is a painting of my favorite morning walk on Marshall Road. I have lived within a two mile radius of this place for 40 years now, and all kinds of ancient, junked vehicles seem frozen in time on the properties I pass by. Who drove them when they were new? The mailboxes display the names of residents past and present. Much in this scene and the beauty of my morning walk were altered forever by the Marshall fire....even the old cars.
This is the presentation for the ten paintings, corresponding post-fire photos, and text that explains the backstory behind the art, as they appear in my art show "A Tribute to Marshall: A Journey Through Healing". My Marshall exhibition will be shown in various venues in and around Boulder, Colorado in the coming months. Above is the text included with the photo.
