Description
This road is one of my favorite morning walks, through the town of Marshall, Colorado. I have lived in a 2 mile radius of this place for 40 years now, and all kinds of junked old vehicles are parked on the properties I pass by. I wonder....who drove them when they were new?
December 2021: This scene and the beauty of my morning walk were destroyed by the Marshall fire. Even the old cars. All a memory now through my painting.

Such a beautiful painting of old Marshall. A walk in old Marshall was always full of nostalgic scenes, old machinery, cars, and even abandoned houses some years back to add to the mystery. Thanks for capturing its unique mood, Annie.

Oh Anne, this is such a beautiful painting, but so sad about the fire from last year. Colorado has so many hidden gems, so sad this is lost.

Love your magnificent nostalgia and creativity in making the old car appear like it is fading into the past... Love the autumn colors and detailed names on the mailboxes. Truly a masterful painting that you do so well, my friend! L/F

This painting is a beautiful and kind tribute to a town and community that was the base of your life for a good number of years! So touching! Your skill of creating the fall colors, the faint imagery of an old vehicle, road, names on the mail boxes - simply everything. Magnificent talent! vf mm

This is very intriguing. I am very mesmerized by this kind of thinking. Who real drove them? I love the ghosted car. Really creative. They could have been real 100 years ago.
