Description
This is possibly my favorite local hiking trail, with its dazzling mountain backdrop as it winds its way to the top of Marshall Mesa just south of Boulder, Colorado. I have walked it so many times I could paint it from memory, and now, a memory it is. Marshall Mesa was badly damaged by the Marshall fire. Little by little, the area is reopening, and I take heart in knowing that, even now, the sun still lights the way on top of Marshall Mesa.
