My son took the photo that I used as inspiration when I painted this picture of stately lodgepole pines along a trail near Shanahan Ridge in the foothills of Boulder, Colorado where we live. The wild pink pea flowers were in full bloom throughout the fields, creating a stunning pink blanket over the hillside in front of us. For years I have been painting trails and wondering why. I have come to believe that it is the quiet voice of God that has been speaking to me through my art, guiding me along my way.... "Follow Me".

Anne Gifford is an award winning artist and the eight time poster artist for Colorado's Bolder Boulder 10K Memorial Day Race, one of the largest road races in the United States. She began her career as a silkscreen artist, and now works with watercolor, building successive layers of color to create her vibrant, rich, and detailed paintings.
