Down in the Swamplands metal print by Anne Gifford. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description
It was a year ago this week that I visited New Orleans (for Halloween no less!...the perfect place to be for one of my favorite holidays.) Once we were sated with the city, we went on to Lafayette, Louisiana and stayed in the heart of the bayou. Visiting this area had been on my bucket list for years. The photo I used for inspiration was taken while on a swamp tour which was a highlight of our trip. We were riding in a small boat with one of the local folk who showed us every nook and cranny of his native territory. I just had to do a painting of the distinctive tupelo trees, the egret, and the breathtaking reflections in the murky water. It's a memory I still cherish.
About Anne Gifford
Anne Gifford is an award winning artist and the eight time poster artist for Colorado's Bolder Boulder 10K Memorial Day Race, one of the largest road races in the United States. She began her career as a silkscreen artist, and now works with watercolor, building successive layers of color to create her vibrant, rich, and detailed paintings. She has lived in Colorado since 1976 and finds inspiration in the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains. On her many walks and hikes throughout the area, she is always on the lookout for new imagery. She relishes the depiction of a magic moment and the evidence she finds of the pulse of life, both past and present.
