Description
COLORADO EVENING SHADOWS
This painting was inspired by a photo that was shared with me by my son's dad, Bob. It was taken in the back yard of his home in Marshall. He lost that home in the fire, and two months later he lost his brave battle with cancer. In our final conversation, he said he had to make "the shift", but he wasn't sure how. We told him, "Do you see the light? Walk into it." And that is just what he did. I imagine it looked something like this. Rest in God's love, Bob.
This is the presentation for the ten paintings, corresponding post-fire photos, and text that explains the backstory behind the art, as they appear in my art show "A Tribute to Marshall: A Journey Through Healing". My Marshall exhibition will be shown in various venues in and around Boulder, Colorado in the coming months. Above is the text included with the photo.
