A TRIBUTE TO MARSHALL: Painting My Way Through Healing So many in my community have suffered great loss due to the Marshall fire, and my own family was no exception. My “Tribute to Marshall” series emerged as I turned to my painting to work through my own feelings of loss and grief. I hope that in the process I might help others to do the same. Having lived in Marshall for 40 years, both since the fire and before I have done paintings that show the beauty as well as my historical perceptions of the area. Each painting or giclee print is displayed with corresponding post fire photographs I have taken as well as a short paragraph which tells the back story behind the artwork.
