Description
I recently had the honor to be selected as an artist-in-residence at the historic Caribou Ranch near Nederland, Colorado. For a week, I stayed in a cabin which was built into a 150 year old barn on the premises and painted the idyllic scenery around me to my heart's content. For the last three days that I was there, I saw only a few hikers during the daytime, and was entirely alone at night. The solace was profound and refreshing. One day, while in my cabin fixing my lunch, I looked out the window and was smitten by the dazzling sunlight creating shadows on the items on the plywood kitchen counter. The landscape outside encapsulated my solitary surroundings, while the ingredients inside were indicative of the comforts provided by my cabin.

Everything about this wonderful!! You did the translucency of the bottles and liquids and curtain so well! I really like all of your other indoor scenes as well; they all have windows : ) which adds so much when imagining a narrative.
