Happy Fourth of July

This is what it looks like right now in the high country of Colorado! To get to this hiking area near the tiny town of Eldora, you travel several miles along a bumpy dirt road and eventually park at the Fourth of July parking lot. Then, follow the trail across bubbling streams amid meadows of stunning wildflowers up to Diamond Lake or Arapaho Glacier, depending upon which fork you decide to take. I saw more columbines (the Colorado state flower) along this trail than I have ever seen before or since!
